A reading of original poems inspired by the artwork in the National Art Museum of Sport is being planned for 5:00 pm Wednesday, April 30, at the museum, University Place Conference Center, IUPUI, 850 W. Michigan St. The poems and artworks are on display. Featured poets include Joyce Brinkman, Ruthelen Griffith Burns, Phoenix Cole, Barry Harris, Joseph Heithaus, JL Kato, James Murdock, and Michael Strosahl.

My poem, Growing the Legend, is currently on display next to a portrait of Larry Bird, which inspired the poem.
